Why the UK

Why so many Kerala students choose the UK

UK degrees are respected by employers in India, the Gulf and worldwide. Because most master's courses last one year, you start working sooner and spend less than on a two-year programme elsewhere.

After graduating, the Graduate Route lets you stay and work without a job offer, so you can build international experience before deciding your next step.

The Ednourish difference

Our founder lived in the UK for six years. We can tell you how far your budget goes in each city, which part-time jobs students find, what your first month looks like, and how to make the most of the Graduate Route.

UK FAQ

Studying in the UK: your questions

UK visa rules change often. We check the latest Home Office guidance for every student.

How long is a master's degree in the UK?

Most taught master's degrees take one year, so you spend less on tuition and living costs than on a two-year course.

Can I work while studying in the UK?

Students on degree-level courses can usually work up to 20 hours a week during term and full-time in official vacations.

How long can I stay after graduating?

The Graduate Route lets you stay and work after your degree. For applications from 1 January 2027 it is 18 months for bachelor's and master's graduates and 3 years for PhD graduates.

How much money do I need to show?

Remaining first-year tuition plus living costs of £1,570 a month in London or £1,203 outside London, for up to 9 months, for applications from 30 November 2026. The money must be held for 28 days.

Can I study in the UK without IELTS?

Some universities accept Class 12 English marks or their own test. Whether that works for your visa depends on the university, so we check each case.

What is a CAS?

A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. Your university issues it after you accept an unconditional offer and pay any deposit. You need it to apply for the visa.

January or September intake?

September has the most courses and scholarships. January suits students who need more time or missed September deadlines.

Which UK city is best for Indian students?

It depends on your course and budget. London has the most jobs but the highest costs; cities like Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow cost less. We compare them in counselling.
